Our History and Background

About Nairobi Highlands Community Care Foundation

The NHCCF was established as a successor and sustainability vehicle for the Nairobi Highlands Partnership Board (NHPB), a longstanding Partnership and collaboration, established in 1990, between the Presbyterian Church of East Africa represented by Nairobi North, Nairobi Central, and Nairobi East Presbyteries and the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America. Over a span of 35 years, the NHPB facilitated transformative community programmes in lower eastern part of Kenya by championing healthcare, access to clean water, capacity-building for local communities, and scholarships for vulnerable children. The NHPB flagship initiative was Kasasule Health Center, established to address the healthcare issues for the needy in Kasasule, in Makueni county.

OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2025-2030

The Launch of Nairobi Highlands Community Care Foundation(NHCCF)
at Utalii Hotel on 21st Nov 2025

Strategic Plan

The NHCCF Strategic Plan (2024-2028) was developed through a consultative and participatory proces, ensuring ownership, inclusivity and alignment with stakeholders expectations.

The process was guided by a multidisciplinary technical committee and involved the following stages:-

Desk review.. Stakeholder Consultations. Strategic analysis Drafting and validation

Rationale of Strategic Planning

The strategic plan identifies the most appropriate strategies for tapping into the skills and resources available to enable an institution to achieve its specified objectives, while considering the external environment in which it operates.

This Plan therefore reflects on the collective aspirations of NHCCF and provides a strategic compass to guide the Foundations decisions, partnerships and investments for the next five years.

The goals and strategies detailed in this PLna are the result of a collaborative process that sought input from many stakeholders to enhance the Plans accessibility and adoption.
